What Ian does

  • Ian works with you to solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement.  Then he helps you to deal with them.
  • He works with you and your teams to identify processes, map them, tune them and facilitate how to make them work best....and this includes effective documentation.  As an option here, Ian has a relationship with MAVIM (www.mavim.co.nz) as a best practice process and information management tool.
  • If you want to unlock the potential in your staff, Ian can provide training and coaching on the use of process improvement tools to define, measure, analyse improve and control processes so that business performance is maximised.
  • When it comes to those independent assurances you need to feel confident that your business is doing its best, Ian helps you develop modern risk based internal auditing and review processes and procedures.
  • Included here is access to HPO (High Performance Organisation) methodologies (see www.the-hpo.com).  This system enables you to benchmark your organisation against others using ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and is a best practice replacement for traditional compliance based internal auditing.

Dr W Edwards Deming

Ian is a modern-day student and advocate of the teachings of Dr W Edwards Deming (1900-1994).

Just as Deming taught the Japanese about quality in the late 1940s, 50s and 60s his lessons and teachings are as pertinent now as they ever were.

Much of Ian's teaching and coaching is based on Deming's principles.

Testimonials
I recommend Ian without hesitation.. Karl Baker - Red Hot Business Coaching
We used Ian Hendra and Clearline Services for a half day planning session with a view to getting some clarity around a significant business challenge we were facing.  We were not hitting the sales targets we had set ourselves for a particular product we had developed.  Ian helped us to stand back from the perceived problem and take a very broad view of all the issues relating to that problem.  From that we were able to get a clear picture of the actual issues involved, what were the core factors that were causing the problem, and where we needed to focus our attention to address the  issues.   We left with a clear sense that we were all on the same page and that nothing had been ‘missed out’.  We had a clear course of action and were agreed as a team on the areas that we needed to address.  The addressing of these areas was a practical consideration and we were very confident we could make the necessary changes.

I found Ian to be a very relaxed and confident facilitator, clearly focused on us getting what we needed (a clear picture) with a strong focus on simplicity and practicality.  I am amazed that such a seemingly simple process can be so effective and put that down to Ian’s manner, thorough understanding of the methodology, his experience and skills in this area.

I recommend Ian without hesitation in terms of any organization that is wanting team alignment and a clear understanding of the real issues impacting on an organizations effectiveness combined with a need for an output of practical steps to address the issues.
